Abstract

Due to low employee engagement scores in 2023 reflecting poor morale, high stress, and lack of team cohesion within the Rehab Department, a wellness initiative was launched. This initiative includes monthly team activities and weekly "Wellness Wednesdays" designed to boost morale, enhance engagement, and foster appreciation. Daily stress levels are tracked using a color-coded marble system and recorded in a Microsoft Form, allowing for trend analysis and correlation with implemented activities. While marble participation is inconsistent, engagement increases with reminders and incentives, particularly on activity days. Although a clear trend in daily stress levels hasn't emerged, positive staff feedback and increased awareness of system-wide wellness resources suggest the initiative is effectively improving engagement and reducing stress, prompting its continuation.
