Abstract
To improve hand hygiene compliance reporting, a new peer-to-peer assessment survey is being developed using RedCap to create a more accurate, facility-wide picture of compliance. This survey allows staff to report direct observations of their peers performing hand hygiene during key opportunities. A flyer with a QR code will be created and posted in visible areas such as near sinks, nurse stations, and outside patient rooms, making the survey easily accessible for real-time completion. The initiative will also be presented at team meetings and included in monthly leadership communications to enhance awareness of hand hygiene compliance data. Although minimal data has been collected so far, preliminary results show staff willingness to engage in direct observations and complete the survey. The system aims to provide a clearer reflection of compliance rates and enhance peer accountability in hand hygiene practices.
