Abstract
Grand Central is an Epic module designed to centralize and automate patient flow, bed assignments, and hospital logistics, replacing older systems like Invision and Teletracking. Utilized by admitting staff, hospital operations, nurses, clinical staff, transport, and housekeeping, it offers key features such as capacity management with predictive insights, efficient bed assignment and planning tools, real-time discharge planning and communication tracking, and automated task assignments for environmental services and patient transport. The system aims to improve efficiency and patient outcomes by streamlining hospital operations.
