Description

Defibrillators continue to evolve since they were first demonstrated by Jean-Louis Prévost and Frédéric Batelli, two physiologists from University of Geneva, Switzerland in 1899. This photograph shows a nurse using a newly developed defibrillator from 1968. Today, cutting-edge defibrillators are equipped with advanced technology, increasing the chances of saving lives during sudden cardiac emergencies.
