Description

The 1917 renovation of the hospital’s maternity wing was a significant upgrade, featuring new beds and improved changing stations. The first birth ever recorded in the S.R. Smith Infirmary was in 1892. Over 100 years later, The Gruppuso Women & Newborn Center follows the same tradition of advancing the care we deliver in the best environment possible for the people of Staten Island.
