Description
In 2020, as part of the centennial celebration of Staten Island University Hospital Prince’s Bay campus, a time capsule was unveiled, revealing a rich collection of hospital blueprints, edition of the Staten Island Advance, and a New York Times article dated June 22, 1935. Notably, the capsule included a handwritten letter by philanthropist Mrs. Berta Dreyfus. Mrs. Dreyfus, who had generously donated $100,000 in the 1920s for the hospital’s expansion, left an indelible mark on the history of SIUH Prince’s Bay.
