Description

The Service Auxiliary has a long history with Staten Island University Hospital, dating back to World War II. The Auxiliary established a coffee shop in 1942 to raise money to purchase linens, draperies, and medical equipment. The Gift Shop remains an important source of revenue for the hospital thanks to the forward thinking of its Auxilians.
