Abstract
•Femoral IABP mobilization historically has been contraindicated due to the risk of
catheter compression, dislodgement, migration and bleeding.
•The Ramsey Protocol provides a structured low hip flexion approach,
enabling safe out of bed activity.
•The Ramsey Ambulation Protocol was implemented in the CTICU at NSUH
in 2023.
